Chan Dan Ya is a geological phenomenon located in the Guizhou province of China, it literally translates as «the egg-laying cliff». They really know how to choose a place to live reveals footage from this mystical place and the neighboring village, both in a state of transition. The film is narrated by a woman remembering her journey to the mountain two years earlier. The film is nestled in a wooden cabinet amongst personal treasures. Its sound fills the large living room and contrasts with the display.
